Job Description

As a Clinical Research Coordinator II at Winship Cancer Institute, you will play a pivotal role in advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes.   1. Manage and oversee multiple research studies and trials at the Winship Cancer Institute, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols.
  2. Collaborate with principal investigators, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute study protocols.
  3. Recruit and screen potential study participants, and obtain informed consent from eligible patients.
  4. Collect and maintain accurate and detailed data, including patient medical histories, laboratory results, and study-specific information.
  5. Coordinate and schedule study-related procedures, appointments, and follow-up visits for participants.
  6. Communicate study updates and progress to the research team, investigators, and external partners.
  7. Ensure adherence to study timelines and milestones, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  8. Assist with preparation and submission of regulatory documents and applications for Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
  9. Maintain study records and documentation in accordance with institutional and federal guidelines.
  10. Conduct training and education sessions for study team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  11. Attend and participate in team meetings, conferences, and other events related to cancer research.
  12. Collaborate with community organizations and patient advocacy groups to promote and recruit for studies.
  13. Stay up-to-date on latest developments and advancements in cancer research, and apply knowledge to enhance study protocols and procedures.
  14. Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure ethical conduct in all aspects of research.
  15. Contribute to the dissemination of study findings through presentations and publications.
  16. Act as a liaison between the research team, patients, and their families, providing support and addressing any concerns or questions.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Fda Regulations And Good Clinical Practice (Gcp) Guidelines.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Biology, Nursing, Or Public Health.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Clinical Research Coordination, Preferably In An Oncology Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Team Of Researchers, Physicians, And Patients.
