We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Associate Museum Director, Public Programs. This position plays a crucial role in shaping the museum's public programs, events, and community outreach initiatives.   1. Develop and oversee all public programs, events, and community outreach initiatives for the museum.
  2. Collaborate with museum staff, community partners, and other stakeholders to plan and execute engaging and educational programs and events.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other institutions to promote the museum's public programs and increase outreach and participation.
  4. Create and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  5. Conduct research on current trends and best practices in museum programming to continuously improve and innovate the museum's offerings.
  6. Supervise and mentor a team of program coordinators and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of programs.
  7. Develop and implement strategies to increase diversity and inclusivity in museum programming and outreach efforts.
  8. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote public programs and events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and website updates.
  9. Serve as a spokesperson for the museum and its public programs, representing the institution at events and in media interviews.
  10. Evaluate the success and impact of public programs and events and make recommendations for future improvements.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to public programs and events.
  12. Maintain knowledge of the museum's collections and exhibitions to effectively incorporate them into public programs and events.
  13. Act as a liaison between the museum and the community, fostering positive relationships and seeking opportunities for collaboration.
  14. Assist the museum director in developing long-term strategic plans for public programs and community outreach.
  15. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, bringing new ideas and approaches to the museum's public programming efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Museum Studies, Art History, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In A Museum Or Cultural Institution.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Understanding Of Public Programming, Audience Engagement, And Educational Outreach Strategies.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Groups And Stakeholders.
