- Develop and implement engaging public programs that align with the museum's mission and vision.
- Collaborate with the Director and other museum staff to create a diverse range of programming that appeals to a broad audience.
- Research and identify current trends and topics in the art world to inform the development of relevant and timely programs.
- Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of all public programs, including lectures, workshops, tours, and special events.
- Oversee the budget for public programs and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Recruit and manage a team of volunteer docents to assist with public programs.
- Foster relationships with community organizations and educational institutions to promote the museum's public programs.
- Develop marketing and promotional strategies to increase attendance and awareness of public programs.
- Evaluate the success of public programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of educational resources and materials related to public programs.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the museum and its public programs, representing the institution at events and conferences.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate innovative ideas into the museum's public programming.
- Train and supervise staff members responsible for supporting public programs.
- Work with the museum's development team to secure funding and sponsorships for public programs.
- Uphold the museum's standards of excellence and professionalism in all aspects of public program development and execution.
Master's Degree In Museum Studies, Art History, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role In A Museum Or Cultural Institution
Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Public Programs And Exhibitions
Strong Knowledge Of Current Museum Trends And Best Practices In Public Engagement And Education
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Staff, Volunteers, And Community Partners
