- Oversee and manage various research projects within the Pediatrics department.
- Collaborate with the department's faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement research initiatives.
- Ensure that all research projects are conducted in compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage and allocate resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, for research projects.
- Monitor and track progress of research projects, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination of results.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication and collaboration among research team members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to support research efforts.
- Keep abreast of advancements and developments in the field of pediatric research and incorporate them into departmental projects.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior researchers and staff.
- Support grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure funding for research projects.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to research team members.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of research project outcomes to department leadership and external stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the research team.
- Represent the department at conferences, meetings, and other events related to pediatric research.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to research and project management.
Advanced Degree: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Public Health, Epidemiology, Or Biomedical Sciences Is Required For This Position. A Doctoral Degree Is Preferred.
Research Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Conducting And Managing Research Projects, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.
Project Management Skills: Strong Project Management Skills Are Essential For This Role, Including The Ability To Develop And Implement Project Plans, Manage Budgets, And Oversee Timelines.
Leadership Skills: The Associate Director Must Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Research Staff And Collaborate With Other Faculty And Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Pediatrics: Experience In Pediatric Research And A Solid Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Considerations In This Field Is Highly Desirable For This Position.
