- Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni in meaningful ways, with a focus on leadership opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with alumni, understanding their interests and goals in order to connect them with relevant opportunities.
- Create and execute events, programs, and initiatives that foster alumni involvement and support for the university.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and leverage alumni resources and expertise for the benefit of the university.
- Utilize data and metrics to track and evaluate alumni engagement efforts, making adjustments as needed to ensure success.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the university and the Office of Alumni Engagement, representing Emory at various events and conferences.
- Develop and manage a budget for alumni engagement initiatives, ensuring responsible use of resources.
- Supervise and mentor a team of alumni engagement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Work closely with the Office of Development to identify and cultivate potential donors among alumni.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and its alumni, fostering a sense of community and connection between the two.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in alumni engagement, applying this knowledge to enhance the university's efforts.
- Uphold the university's mission and values, promoting a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and academic excellence in all alumni engagement activities.
- Collaborate with alumni volunteers and advisory boards to develop and implement alumni engagement strategies.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with alumni through various channels, including email, social media, and in-person interactions.
- Represent the university and the Office of Alumni Engagement in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Marketing, Communications, Or Business Administration.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Alumni Relations, Fundraising, Or A Related Field, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Demonstrated Leadership Experience, Including Managing A Team And Developing And Implementing Strategic Initiatives.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Communicate Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Alumni Engagement Best Practices And Experience Using Data And Analytics To Inform Engagement Strategies.
