  1. Support the mission of the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University to improve health and well-being through education, research, and service.
  2. Assist the Program Director in developing and implementing program goals and objectives.
  3. Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and coordinate curriculum, courses, and programs that align with the school's mission.
  4. Assist in managing program budgets and resources, ensuring efficient use of funds.
  5. Provide support to students and faculty, including advising and mentoring, to ensure a positive learning and working environment.
  6. Conduct research and analysis to inform program development and improvement.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current trends and issues in public health to inform program content and delivery.
  8. Foster diversity and inclusion within the program, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
  9. Collaborate with external partners and organizations to expand program opportunities and resources.
  10. Assist in marketing and promoting the program to attract top-quality students.
  11. Contribute to the accreditation process and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  12. Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
  13. Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  14. Act as a role model for students and staff, demonstrating a strong commitment to public health and community impact.
  15. Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in public health and program management.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Education: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Public Health Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. A Phd In Public Health Or A Related Field Is Preferred.

  • Program Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Program Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Public Health Setting.

  • Leadership Skills: As An Assistant Program Director, The Individual Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Program Coordinators And Staff.

  • Knowledge Of Public Health: A Thorough Understanding Of Public Health Principles, Practices, And Policies Is Crucial For Success In This Role. Candidates Should Have Experience In Program Planning, Implementation, And Evaluation.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Assistant Program Director Will Be Responsible For Liaising With Various Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, Students, And External Partners. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
