- Develop and oversee the Intramural & Club Sport programs at Emory University, ensuring they align with the department's mission and goals.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff to participate in recreational sports.
- Collaborate with campus partners to promote and market the recreational sports programs to the Emory community.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of staff members responsible for organizing and facilitating the intramural and club sport events.
- Manage the budget for the recreational sports programs, making strategic decisions to ensure resources are used efficiently.
- Ensure the safety of participants by implementing and enforcing all necessary rules and regulations.
- Plan and coordinate various recreational sports events and tournaments throughout the academic year.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and vendors to enhance the program and provide additional resources and opportunities for participants.
- Monitor participation and analyze data to assess the success and impact of the recreational sports programs.
- Support and mentor student leaders involved in the programs, providing opportunities for growth and development.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in recreational sports and incorporate them into the programs.
- Represent the department and the university at various conferences and events related to recreational sports.
- Collaborate with other departments within Campus Life to create a cohesive and well-rounded campus experience for students.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to recreational sports.
- Uphold the values and mission of Emory University and the Campus Life Department in all interactions and decisions.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management, Sports Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Managing And Coordinating Intramural And Club Sports Programs.
Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In Intramural And Club Sports Programming.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Groups Of Students, Staff, And Community Members.
Strong Leadership And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Plan, Implement, And Evaluate A Variety Of Sports Programs And Events.
