- Develop and implement a comprehensive intramural and club sports program that aligns with the mission and values of Emory University.
- Collaborate with various departments and organizations within the university to create a diverse and inclusive community through sports and recreation.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the intramural and club sports program, including scheduling, facility reservations, and equipment management.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of student staff to assist with the execution of intramural and club sports activities.
- Promote and market the intramural and club sports program to increase participation and engagement among students, staff and faculty.
- Develop and manage the budget for the intramural and club sports program, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of the program through data analysis and student feedback, making necessary adjustments for improvement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants through the implementation and enforcement of risk management protocols and procedures.
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to student leaders involved in the intramural and club sports program, promoting their personal and professional growth.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in intramural and club sports, and incorporate new ideas and initiatives into the program.
- Collaborate with other campus departments to plan and execute special events and initiatives related to sports and recreation.
- Represent Emory University at regional and national conferences and events related to intramural and club sports.
- Support the overall mission and goals of the Campus Life department and Emory University through active participation in departmental and university-wide initiatives.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the intramural and club sports program, promoting a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to the intramural and club sports program, and provide regular updates to departmental leadership.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management, Sports Management, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Supervisory Role Within A Recreational Sports Program Or Similar Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Intramural And Club Sports Policies, Procedures, And Best Practices.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate And Build Relationships With Students, Staff, And Community Partners.
Demonstrated Experience In Program Planning, Budget Management, And Risk Management Within A Recreational Sports Program.
