- Provide advanced and comprehensive patient care services to patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.
- Collaborate with world-renowned surgeons to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing differential diagnoses.
- Prescribe and manage medications and treatments for patients, including adjusting dosages and monitoring for side effects.
- Serve as a resource and educator for patients and their families, providing information and support throughout the treatment process.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to cardiothoracic surgery.
- Stay current on advancements and developments in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and incorporate them into practice.

Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.
Current And Active Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Of Georgia.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience In Cardiothoracic Surgery Or A Related Field.
Board Certification As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Demonstrated Proficiency In Performing Diagnostic And Therapeutic Procedures, Such As Thoracentesis And Central Line Placement, Under The Supervision Of A Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
