
Academic Technology Specialist II

- Provide support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students in utilizing academic technology resources.
- Collaborate with departments and individuals within the university to identify technology needs and develop effective solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in academic technology and make recommendations for implementation at Emory.
- Conduct trainings and workshops to educate faculty, staff, and students on how to effectively integrate technology into their teaching and learning processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues and provide timely and efficient support to users.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners to ensure the university is utilizing the most advanced and effective tools.
- Research and evaluate new software, applications, and tools to enhance the academic experience at Emory.
- Collaborate with other members of the academic technology team to develop and implement university-wide technology initiatives.
- Assist in the planning and execution of technology-related events and projects, such as conferences and workshops.
- Serve as a resource and consultant for faculty and staff, providing guidance on best practices for utilizing technology in the classroom and online.
- Act as a liaison between various departments and technology support teams to ensure efficient and effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of technology usage and support requests.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the university's academic technology resources and services.
- Keep abreast of industry standards and best practices in academic technology and make recommendations for updates and improvements to current systems.
- Adhere to university policies and procedures regarding technology usage and security.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Faculty, Staff, And Students.
Master's Degree In Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Demonstrated Proficiency In Using A Variety Of Educational Technology Tools And Platforms.
Strong Project Management Skills And Experience Managing Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
