- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the overall goals and objectives of the University Hospital Division and Emory Healthcare.
- Oversee the financial operations of the academic medical center, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management.
- Manage and monitor the organization's financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the executive team to develop and execute long-term financial plans and ensure financial sustainability for the organization.
- Provide financial guidance and support to departmental leaders and staff, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze financial trends and metrics to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, insurance companies, and vendors, to negotiate favorable contracts and partnerships.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in healthcare finance, applying this knowledge to continuously improve financial processes and systems.
- Lead and develop a team of financial professionals, providing mentorship, training, and performance management to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the President of the University Hospital Division and the Chief Financial Officer of Emory Healthcare, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Foster a culture of financial accountability and transparency, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to streamline financial operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Represent the organization at financial and industry conferences, networking events, and other public forums to promote the University Hospital Division and Emory Healthcare.
- Collaborate with the University Hospital Division's leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, such as partnerships, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Act as a role model for Emory Healthcare's values, promoting a culture of excellence, compassion, and integrity in all aspects of the job.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Progressive Experience In Financial Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Cpa (Certified Public Accountant) Certification.
Strong Leadership And Strategic Planning Skills.
Demonstrated Experience In Budgeting, Financial Analysis, And Decision-Making.
