In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our unit by providing administrative support to our healthcare team.   1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
  3. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate and organized appointment calendars for the unit.
  4. Assist with patient registration and admission processes.
  5. Maintain patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  6. Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  7. Order and maintain office supplies and equipment for the unit.
  8. Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient care and services.
  9. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  10. Utilize computer systems and software to enter and retrieve patient information and data.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
  13. Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and improve skills.
  14. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Emory Healthcare.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
  16. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Is Typically Required For A Unit Clerk Position At Emory Healthcare. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Perform Tasks Such As Reading And Writing.

  • Previous Clerical Experience: Candidates With Previous Experience In A Clerical Or Administrative Role Are Preferred For A Unit Clerk Position At Emory Healthcare. This Experience Can Include Data Entry, Filing, And Managing Documents.
