
Sterile Processing Technician

- Perform sterilization processes: The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for operating and monitoring sterilization equipment to ensure all medical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized.
- Maintain inventory and supplies: This individual will be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of medical equipment, instruments, and supplies, and ordering and restocking as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols: The safety of our patients is a top priority, and the Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for following all safety protocols and ensuring that all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized to prevent infection and cross-contamination.
- Perform quality control checks: This individual will be responsible for performing regular quality control checks on all equipment and instruments to ensure they meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Keep records and documentation: The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation of all sterilization processes, including tracking and recording all equipment and instrument usage.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: This role requires working closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and surgeons, to ensure that all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use during medical procedures.

- Adhere to compliance regulations: The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for following all compliance regulations and guidelines, including those set by regulatory agencies, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization: This individual will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and disposal of equipment and supplies.

Certification: Candidates Should Be Certified As A Sterile Processing Technician (Cst) By An Accredited Organization Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm).
Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Sterile Processing Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Required. Experience With Instrument Sterilization, Decontamination, And Inventory Management Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Standards And Guidelines For Sterile Processing, Including Aami And Aorn Recommendations.
Attention To Detail: The Job Of A Sterile Processing Technician Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail, As They Are Responsible For Ensuring That All Instruments And Equipment Are Properly Cleaned, Sterilized, And Maintained.
