Welcome to Emory Healthcare's Sports Fitness Camp! We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate campers to lead healthy and active lifestyles through various sports and fitness activities. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about sports, fitness, and working with children. If you possess strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to make a positive impact, we want to hear from you! Join us in creating a fun and memorable experience for our campers while promoting the importance of physical activity and healthy habits.

  1. Develop and lead engaging sports and fitness activities for campers.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times.
  3. Serve as a positive role model for campers by displaying enthusiasm and positivity.
  4. Motivate and encourage campers to participate in all activities and try new things.
  5. Plan and organize daily schedules and activities for campers.
  6. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow counselors.
  7. Collaborate with other camp staff to create a fun and inclusive environment.
  8. Uphold and enforce camp rules and policies.
  9. Attend all required training and meetings.
  10. Assist in the supervision and management of campers during lunch and snack times.
  11. Set up and clean up equipment and activity areas.
  12. Maintain a clean and safe camp environment.
  13. Foster a sense of community and teamwork among campers.
  14. Monitor and report any behavioral or safety concerns to camp leadership.
  15. Serve as a positive representative of Emory Healthcare's Sports Fitness Camp.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge And Experience In Sports And Fitness: Candidates Should Have A Strong Background In Sports And Fitness, With Experience In Leading Group Exercises, Creating Workout Plans, And Providing Nutrition Advice.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: Due To The Physically Demanding Nature Of The Job, Candidates Must Be Certified In Cpr And First Aid To Ensure The Safety Of Campers In Case Of Emergencies.

  • Experience Working With Children And Adolescents: As A Camp Counselor, Candidates Will Be Working With Children And Teenagers Of Varying Ages And Abilities. Experience In A Similar Role, Such As A Sports Coach Or Camp Counselor, Is Preferred.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Campers, Parents, And Other Staff Members Is Crucial In This Role. Candidates Must Also Be Able To Lead And Motivate Campers To Participate In Activities.

  • Team Player And Positive Attitude: A Successful Counselor Should Be A Team Player And Have A Positive Attitude, As They Will Be Working Closely With Other Counselors And Staff Members To Create A Fun And Safe Environment For Campers.
