- Accurately and efficiently process patient samples for analysis in the laboratory.
- Ensure that all samples are handled and processed in a timely manner to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and precision of results.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols while handling and processing specimens.
- Maintain accurate records of all specimens processed, including labeling and tracking information.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure proper handling and processing of samples.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues that may arise during specimen processing.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies for the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers by accurately and promptly answering any questions or concerns related to specimen processing.
- Attend and participate in all required training and meetings to stay current on laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in specimen processing techniques.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all tasks.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the laboratory supervisor or manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Completion Of A Certified Phlebotomy Training Program
Previous Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting Preferred
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Record And Process Specimen Information
