Job Description

At Emory Healthcare, we are seeking a Simulation Technician who is passionate about working with medical technology to advance healthcare. The Simulation Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of high-fidelity patient simulators and other simulation equipment for healthcare education in the Emory Healthcare Simulation Center. The ideal candidate for this role must have an Associate's Degree in a science-related field and a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare-related field. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, has excellent communication and organizational skills, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment. If you have a strong technical background and a commitment to providing excellent patient care, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and operate high-fidelity patient simulators and other simulation equipment for healthcare education in the Emory Healthcare Simulation Center.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair any technical issues with the simulation equipment.
  3. Ensure proper functioning of the simulation equipment.
  4. Provide technical support and training for faculty, staff, and students.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies related to healthcare simulation.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of simulation equipment.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation regarding the simulation equipment.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the simulation team to ensure effective operations.
  9. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
