  • Strong Organizational Skills: The Scheduler Must Be Able To Effectively Manage And Prioritize Multiple Tasks, Appointments, And Schedules For Various Departments And Healthcare Providers At Emory Healthcare.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Scheduler Will Be Responsible For Coordinating Appointments And Schedules With Patients, Providers, And Other Team Members. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Necessary To Ensure Efficient And Effective Communication.

  • Attention To Detail: Scheduling Appointments And Managing Calendars Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail. The Scheduler Must Be Able To Input And Maintain Accurate Information, As Well As Anticipate Potential Conflicts Or Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Scheduling Systems: Familiarity With Electronic Health Records (Ehr) And Scheduling Systems Commonly Used In Healthcare Settings Is Important For This Role. This Includes Experience With Scheduling Software, Patient Portals, And Other Technology Used For Appointment Management.

  • Customer Service Orientation: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Scheduling Appointments, The Scheduler Must Have A Strong Customer Service Mindset. This Includes Being Able To Handle Patient Inquiries And Concerns In A Professional, Empathetic, And Timely Manner.
