- Provide high-quality radiation therapy treatment to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during all procedures and treatments.
- Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and progress in electronic medical records.
- Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them on treatment plans, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive cancer care to patients, including participating in tumor boards and case conferences.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in radiation therapy techniques and equipment, and participate in ongoing training and education opportunities.
- Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance patient care and quality outcomes.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times, and uphold the values and mission of Emory Healthcare.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by demonstrating teamwork, professionalism, and effective communication with colleagues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with developing and implementing best practices for radiation therapy.
- Maintain required licensure and certifications and adhere to all continuing education requirements.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting As A Radiation Therapist.
Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Therapy Equipment, Treatment Planning And Delivery Techniques.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
