  1. Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner, serving as the first point of contact for their healthcare experience.
  2. Register and schedule patients for appointments, procedures, and admissions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of information.
  3. Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations, communicating any potential issues or concerns to the appropriate parties.
  4. Collect and process patient payments, explaining financial obligations and assisting with financial assistance options when necessary.
  5. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  6. Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries, directing calls to the appropriate department or staff member as needed.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure patients receive the necessary care and services in a timely manner.
  8. Utilize electronic medical records and other computer systems to enter and retrieve patient information.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of patient interactions, appointments, and other relevant information.
  10. Continuously strive to provide exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving any patient concerns or complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
  11. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
  12. Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
  13. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance patient satisfaction and efficiency.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing Emory Healthcare in a positive light.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education

  • Prior Experience In Healthcare Registration, Insurance Verification, Or Customer Service

  • Proficiency In Basic Computer Skills And Ability To Learn New Software Programs

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Providers
