Job Description

Emory Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a PACU Nurse for our Heart and Vascular Prep and Recovery unit. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in the recovery and care of our patients post-procedure.   1. Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  2. Utilize knowledge and experience in the PACU setting to assist in the recovery and care of patients post-procedure.
  3. Demonstrate a strong background in heart and vascular procedures to ensure proper care and monitoring of patients.
  4. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  5. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and respond to changes in patient condition and provide appropriate interventions.
  6. Monitor and document patient vital signs, pain levels, and overall recovery progress.
  7. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  8. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and answer any questions or concerns.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  11. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  12. Attend continuing education and training to stay current on best practices and procedures in the PACU setting.
  13. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  14. Foster a compassionate and caring environment for patients during their recovery process.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team dynamic within the unit and the larger healthcare system.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn Licensure In The State Of Georgia

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pacu Or Critical Care Nursing

  • Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac And Vascular Procedures And Post-Operative Care

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Team Members
