Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience and possess the critical skills necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and families.The successful candidate must possess a degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, a current and valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia, and a minimum of two years of prior experience in Labor and Delivery. In addition, the Registered Nurse must be a compassionate individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle a variety of stressful situations with poise and professionalism. Responsibilities for this position:

1. Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
2. Assess patient's health status, develop and implement patient care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
3. Responsible for the safety and well-being of patients and families.
4. Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare providers, and families to provide high quality care.
5. Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as needed.
6. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
7. Assist physicians during labor and delivery procedures.
8. Maintain knowledge and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
9. Remain current with advances in nursing practice, technology, and equipment.
10. Participate in professional organizations, continuing education classes, and in-service training sessions.
