
Registered Nurse, Care Initiation Unit

- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Care Initiation Unit, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients based on their unique needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and accurately document all patient interactions and interventions.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health and recovery.
- Maintain a clean and organized unit, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Serve as a patient advocate, addressing any concerns or needs and ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and promote a positive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and compassionate atmosphere.
- Continuously evaluate and seek opportunities to improve the quality of care provided in the Care Initiation Unit.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Display a positive and professional attitude, serving as a role model for other nurses and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
Valid State Rn License: A Registered Nurse Must Have A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Of Georgia Or Be Eligible For Reciprocity.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: Emory Healthcare Prefers Candidates With A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, As It Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Acute Care Experience: The Care Initiation Unit At Emory Healthcare Deals With Complex And Critical Patients, Therefore, A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Setting Is Required.
Bls And Acls Certification: Registered Nurses Must Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Effective Communication And Critical Thinking Skills Are Crucial In A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment Like The Care Initiation Unit. Registered Nurses Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Think Critically To Make Quick And Accurate Decisions.
