Job Description

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive quality and patient safety program in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  2. Lead and direct a team of quality and patient safety professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  3. Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address any issues or gaps in care.
  4. Collaborate with clinical leaders and staff to drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in patient care.
  5. Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols related to quality and patient safety.
  6. Coordinate and facilitate performance improvement initiatives and projects, ensuring timely completion and evaluation of outcomes.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
  8. Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in healthcare quality and patient safety and incorporate them into the organization's practices.
  9. Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  10. Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for quality and patient safety initiatives, providing education and training to staff as needed.
  11. Participate in executive-level meetings and present updates on the status of quality and patient safety initiatives.
  12. Report on key performance indicators related to quality and patient safety to leadership and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Keep abreast of any changes in healthcare regulations and make necessary updates to policies and procedures.
  14. Serve as a liaison between the organization and external agencies during audits and surveys.
  15. Foster a culture of transparency and open communication, encouraging reporting of any safety events or concerns.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge And Experience In Quality Improvement Methodologies And Patient Safety Principles, Such As Lean Six Sigma, Just Culture, And Root Cause Analysis.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing Quality And Patient Safety Initiatives In A Healthcare Setting, Resulting In Improved Outcomes And Patient Satisfaction.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Multidisciplinary Teams And Engage Staff At All Levels Of The Organization.

  • In-Depth Understanding Of Regulatory And Accreditation Requirements Related To Quality And Patient Safety, Such As The Joint Commission And Cms Guidelines.

  • Advanced Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field, With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Focused On Quality And Patient Safety.
