Job Description

The Office of Multicultural Affairs at Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about our mission and has the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to ensure that our programs and initiatives are successful. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to enhance the cultural competency of our staff and the experiences of our patients. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as public health, social work, or human services, with a minimum of two years of experience in health education, program development, and/or evaluation. Experience working with diverse populations and communities is essential, and knowledge of healthcare disparities and the cultural barriers to healthcare access is desired. In addition, this person must have strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Responsibilites:

  1. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs designed to enhance the cultural competency of staff and improve patient experiences.
  2. Prepare and deliver presentations related to program objectives and initiatives.
  3. Monitor program progress and outcomes, and evaluate program effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to align program objectives and initiatives.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
  6. Build and manage relationships with diverse populations and communities.
  7. Research and analyze healthcare disparities and cultural barriers to healthcare access.
  8. Develop educational materials and resources related to program objectives.
  9. Manage program budget and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  10. Provide guidance and mentoring to program staff.
