  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to Emory Healthcare in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  3. Maintain knowledge of all healthcare services offered by Emory Healthcare and effectively communicate this information to patients.
  4. Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure timely and efficient access to care.
  5. Coordinate patient appointments and procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
  6. Accurately document patient information and update electronic medical records as needed.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
  8. Monitor and track patient wait times, proactively addressing any delays or concerns.
  9. Identify and escalate any urgent or emergency situations, ensuring appropriate and timely response.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance patient experience and streamline access to care.
  12. Attend trainings and stay up-to-date on changes and updates in healthcare policies and procedures.
  13. Collaborate with billing and insurance departments to verify patient insurance coverage and ensure accurate billing.
  14. Serve as a positive representative of Emory Healthcare, promoting our mission and values to all patients and visitors.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Access Or Patient Scheduling.

  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Plans, And Reimbursement Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Handle Difficult Situations And Provide Compassionate Support To Patients.

  • Proficient In Using Electronic Medical Record Systems And Scheduling Software, With A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
