Job Description

At Emory Healthcare, we are looking for a Primary Therapist to join our team and provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and highly skilled professional who is passionate about mental health and committed to helping our patients lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.The Primary Therapist will work with patients to diagnose and treat mental health disorders and provide psychotherapy services. They will collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.The successful candidate must have a Master's degree in Psychology or a related field and be licensed to practice in the state of Georgia. They must also have at least two years of experience providing psychotherapy services in an outpatient setting. The ability to work with a variety of patients, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of empathy are essential.If you possess these qualifications and are ready to make a difference in the lives of our patients, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities of a Primary Therapist:

  1. Diagnose and treat mental health disorders through psychotherapy services.
  2. Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  3. Ensure continuity of care for patients.
  4. Provide compassionate and highly skilled care to all patients.
  5. Educate patients and families on mental health disorders and treatment options.
  6. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  7. Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve patient issues.
  8. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  9. Maintain a strong sense of empathy and understanding for all patients.
  10. Remain up to date on industry best practices and advancements in mental health care.
