Physician - Anesthesiology

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate Physician Anesthesiologist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. We are seeking a passionate professional who is willing to take on the challenge of providing top-notch care and excellent patient experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent bedside manner, strong clinical and communication skills, and an ability to work well within a team environment.The successful candidate will have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school, as well as a board certification in Anesthesiology. The candidate must maintain valid and unrestricted medical licenses in the state of Georgia, and must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). The candidate must also have at least three years of experience in anesthesiology, and demonstrate a commitment to providing quality care and service to patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures according to established protocols
2. Monitor patient condition during and after administration of anesthesia
3. Monitor and adjust settings on anesthesia delivery systems
4. Consult with surgeons and other medical personnel to determine type and methods of anesthesia to be used
5. Communicate with patients to explain the risks and expected outcomes of anesthesia
6. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
7. Provide post-operative care and monitor patients’ progress
8. Maintain patient records and document administered anesthesia services
9. Stay up to date with advances in anesthesia technology and best practices
10. Adhere to all applicable medical laws and regulations.
