Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy program, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management.
Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of medications to patients by monitoring adherence to protocols and regulations.
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of medication dispensing.
Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of medications.
Train and mentor pharmacy staff on best practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze medication utilization data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication therapy management programs.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in pharmacy technology.
Manage and allocate resources, including budget and staffing, to support the pharmacy program.
Lead and participate in pharmacy-related committees and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of care.
Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy program and other departments within the healthcare system.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to promote a safe and efficient work environment for pharmacy staff.
Communicate regularly with upper management and provide reports on the performance of the pharmacy program.
Act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, promoting a culture of integrity and excellence within the pharmacy program.

Job Qualifications

Pharmd Degree: The Ideal Candidate For A Pharmacy Program Manager At Emory Healthcare Should Have A Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Qualification Ensures A Strong Foundation In Pharmaceutical Knowledge And Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations.
Previous Management Experience: A Successful Pharmacy Program Manager At Emory Healthcare Should Have Previous Experience In A Management Or Leadership Role In A Pharmacy Setting. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Lead A Team, Manage Budgets, And Implement Effective Processes.
