Lead the integration of technology and pharmacy operations to improve patient care and outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and implement technology-based solutions for pharmacy operations.
Utilize knowledge of health informatics to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the pharmacy department.
Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in healthcare to inform decision-making and strategy.
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance technology capabilities and offerings.
Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff on utilizing technology and health informatics to support patient care.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices related to technology and pharmacy operations.
Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to develop and implement organization-wide technology strategies.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the use of technology for pharmacy operations and patient care.
Train and educate pharmacy staff on new technology and informatics tools and processes.
Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy department and other departments to ensure seamless integration of technology systems.
Act as a resource for staff regarding technology questions and issues.
Monitor and track performance metrics related to technology utilization and make adjustments as needed.
Represent the pharmacy department in meetings and initiatives related to technology and informatics.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Health Informatics Or Related Field: Candidates For This Position Should Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Health Informatics Or A Related Field, Such As Healthcare Administration Or Computer Science. This Advanced Degree Will Provide The Necessary Foundation And Knowledge For The Role Of Associate Chief Health Informatics Officer.
Experience In Healthcare Informatics: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience Working In The Healthcare Industry, With A Focus On Health Informatics. This Experience Should Include Working With Electronic Health Records (Ehrs), Data Analysis And Management, And Implementation Of Health Information Systems.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Member Of The Leadership Team, The Associate Chief Health Informatics Officer Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Informatics Professionals And Collaborating With Other Healthcare Leaders. Therefore, Candidates Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Inspire Others, Effective Communication, And Strategic Thinking.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Healthcare Industry Is Heavily Regulated, And Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Regulatory Requirements Related To Health Informatics. This Includes Knowledge Of Hipaa, Hitech, And Other Relevant Regulations, As Well As Experience With Ensuring Compliance Within A Healthcare Organization.
Project Management Experience: The Associate Chief Health Informatics Officer Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Implementation Of New Health Information Systems And Processes. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Strong Background In Project Management, Including Experience With Project Planning, Budgeting, And Execution. Pmp Certification Is A Plus.
