Pharmacist PRN

The successful candidate should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited college or university, be licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia, and have at least one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting. Knowledge of current pharmacy laws and regulations, as well as proficiency with automated systems, is also required.

Responsibilites of the Pharmacist PRN:

1. Dispense medications to patients in accordance with physician orders.
2. Perform drug utilization review to ensure appropriate medication use.
3. Provide clinical services to patients, such as consulting on drug interactions, side effects, and dosage instructions.
4. Ensure compliance with current pharmacy laws and regulations.
5. Maintain automated systems to ensure accurate record keeping.
6. Monitor and order pharmaceutical supplies as necessary.
7. Answer patient inquiries and provide advice regarding medications.
8. Communicate with physicians and other health care providers about patient care.
9. Participate in educational activities and quality improvement initiatives.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
