- Perform high-quality ultrasound scans on expectant mothers to provide detailed and accurate images of the developing baby.
- Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment and techniques to obtain the best possible images.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the proper interpretation and communication of ultrasound findings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient data confidentiality.
- Educate and prepare expectant mothers for their ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of patients during ultrasound procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in perinatal sonography.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient care and service, in line with Emory Healthcare's mission and values.
- Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, trainings, and continuing education programs.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced sonographers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the patient experience and optimize efficiency.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or department leadership.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field
Ardms Certification In Obstetrics And Gynecology
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Perinatal Sonographer
Proficiency In Performing Fetal Anatomy Scans, Doppler Studies, And Other Advanced Perinatal Ultrasound Procedures
Knowledge Of Fetal And Maternal Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology, As Well As Current Protocols And Guidelines For Perinatal Ultrasound Imaging.
