As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate a seamless and positive experience for our patients.   1. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
  2. Schedule and coordinate appointments, procedures, and tests for patients, taking into account provider availability and patient needs.
  3. Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, verifying demographic and insurance information and collecting necessary paperwork.
  4. Assist patients with inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records, including updating information and documenting interactions with patients and providers.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate the delivery of high-quality care to patients, following established protocols and procedures.
  7. Work closely with insurance companies and other third-party payers to obtain authorizations and verify coverage for services.
  8. Handle billing and payment inquiries, providing patients with information on payment options and assisting with financial assistance applications.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to patient care and customer service.
  11. Act as an ambassador for Emory Healthcare, promoting our mission and values to patients and the community.
  12. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and regulations to protect patient information.
  13. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and huddles to stay informed of updates and changes.
  14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Services Or Customer Service.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Processes, And Hipaa Regulations.

  • Ability To Prioritize And Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
