- Operate ophthalmic photography equipment to capture high-quality images of the eye.
- Prepare patients and assist with positioning for imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all images captured.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to determine imaging needs for diagnostic, medical, and surgical purposes.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of photography equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in ophthalmic photography techniques and technology.
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service.
- Keep detailed records of patient procedures and images for accurate billing and insurance purposes.
- Assist with training and mentoring of new ophthalmic photography staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Ophthalmic Photography Or Related Field
Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (Comt) Or Certified Ophthalmic Photographer (Cop) Designation
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As An Ophthalmic Photographer, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting
Proficient In Various Ophthalmic Imaging Techniques Such As Fundus Photography, Fluorescein Angiography, And Optical Coherence Tomography (Oct)
Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Ophthalmologists And Other Healthcare Professionals
