Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate OBGYN Medical Assistant Proceduralist to join our team. As a vital member of our OBGYN department, you will play a crucial role in assisting our physicians with various procedures and providing compassionate care to our patients. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, and has a passion for women's health.   1. Assist physicians with various procedures in the OBGYN department, including but not limited to pap smears, ultrasounds, and biopsies.
  2. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing equipment and restocking supplies.
  4. Accurately record patient information and maintain medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and coordinated care.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and processing paperwork.
  8. Continuously update knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities and staying current with industry standards and best practices.
  9. Collaborate with other team members to provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients.
  10. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to providing exceptional care to patients.
  11. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all ethical and legal standards.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
  14. Act as a positive representative of Emory Healthcare and the OBGYN department, promoting a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors.
  15. Perform any other duties as assigned by physicians or department management.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credential From A Recognized Institution.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In An Obgyn Practice Or Related Medical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Obgyn Procedures And Equipment, Such As Ultrasounds, Pelvic Exams, And Pap Smears.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Record Systems And Ability To Efficiently Document Patient Information.
