
Nursing Professional Development Specialist
As a Nursing Professional Development Specialist at Emory Healthcare, you have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic healthcare system that is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and delivering a great experience for our diverse patient population. You'll be a key member of the Nursing Professional Development team and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives that support the professional growth and development of our nursing staff.To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing and/or professional development. In addition, you must possess strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.If you have the qualifications and passion for helping to develop and grow our nursing staff, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to support professional growth and development of nursing staff.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff in areas such as clinical practice, evidence-based research, patient safety, and leadership development.
- Create and deliver educational presentations and workshops for nursing staff on topics related to professional development.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest innovative ways to enhance professional development programs.
- Develop and monitor metrics to measure the effectiveness of professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of professional development programs with organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze trends in nursing practice and make recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in budget and resource planning activities related to the professional development of nursing staff.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in nursing professional development.
- Provide feedback and evaluation on nursing staff performance and development.
