
NP / PA Cardiac Critical Care

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Critical Care team. - Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Perform invasive procedures, such as inserting central lines and arterial lines, as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition and treatment plan.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Follow evidence-based guidelines and protocols in providing care to patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient care.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in cardiac critical care practices.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure patient safety and quality of care at all times.
- Assist with training and mentoring of new team members.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Keep up-to-date on required certifications and licenses.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers.
- Attend continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Advanced Practice Certification: Must Hold Current Certification As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant From A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Specialized Training In Cardiac Critical Care: Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiac Critical Care Setting, With A Strong Emphasis On Managing Cardiac Emergencies, Interpreting Cardiac Imaging, And Managing Critically Ill Patients With Cardiac Conditions.
Current State Licensure: Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Of Georgia.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: Must Hold A Current Acls Certification From The American Heart Association.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families.
