We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Critical Care team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to care for critically ill patients with cardiac conditions.   1. Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  4. Perform invasive procedures, such as inserting central lines and arterial lines, as needed.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their condition and treatment plan.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  7. Follow evidence-based guidelines and protocols in providing care to patients.
  8. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient care.
  9. Stay current with advancements and changes in cardiac critical care practices.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  11. Ensure patient safety and quality of care at all times.
  12. Assist with training and mentoring of new team members.
  13. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed.
  14. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  15. Keep up-to-date on required certifications and licenses.
  16. Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers.
  17. Attend continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  18. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  19. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  20. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Practice Certification: Must Hold Current Certification As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant From A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • Specialized Training In Cardiac Critical Care: Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiac Critical Care Setting, With A Strong Emphasis On Managing Cardiac Emergencies, Interpreting Cardiac Imaging, And Managing Critically Ill Patients With Cardiac Conditions.

  • Current State Licensure: Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Of Georgia.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: Must Hold A Current Acls Certification From The American Heart Association.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families.
