- Provide compassionate care to patients with neuro melanoma sarcoma, utilizing a patient-centered approach.
- Utilize nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and manage patient symptoms and side effects, providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Accurately document patient care and maintain up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families on disease process, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing standards of care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in oncology treatment and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Provide guidance and preceptorship to new staff members and nursing students.
- Uphold the mission, values, and ethics of Emory Healthcare at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Georgia.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Oncology Nursing, Preferably In Neuro Melanoma Sarcoma.
Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (Aocnp).
Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices In Caring For Patients With Neuro Melanoma Sarcoma, Including Chemotherapy Administration, Pain Management, And Symptom Management.
