Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Medical Technologist At Emory Healthcare Must Have A Four-Year Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Laboratory Testing And Analysis.
Certification By A Recognized Accrediting Agency: Emory Healthcare Requires Its Medical Technologists To Have Certification From A Recognized Accrediting Agency Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt). This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met Rigorous Standards And Is Competent To Perform Blood Bank Testing.
Experience In Blood Bank Testing And Procedures: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Blood Bank Laboratory.
