Medical Assistant, Primary Care Clinic

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care Clinic at Emory Healthcare. Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
2. Perform administrative duties like answering phone calls, filing paperwork, and scheduling appointments.
3. Prepare patient rooms for examinations.
4. Assist medical staff with clinical procedures.
5. Collect and document patient information.
6. Ensure patient privacy and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
7. Administer medications and injections under the direction of medical staff.
8. Obtain vital signs and other relevant patient information.
9. Assist with laboratory tasks, such as collecting specimens and performing basic lab tests.
10. Instruct patients on medications and treatments.
11. Process insurance forms and coding.
12. Document patient care services in EMR systems.
