
LPN, Outpatient Wound and Hyperbarics

- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients with complex wound and hyperbaric needs.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on wound and hyperbaric care, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of wound and hyperbaric supplies.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all patient interactions.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and uphold the organization's mission and values.
- Stay updated on current nursing practices and advancements in wound and hyperbaric care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and educational programs.
- Serve as a patient advocate and ensure their needs are met.
- Remain calm and composed in emergency situations and follow established protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Valid Lpn License: A Primary Qualification For This Job At Emory Healthcare Would Be A Current And Valid License As An Lpn. This Ensures That The Individual Has Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Provide Quality Patient Care.
Experience In Wound Care: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have Experience In Wound Care, Including Knowledge Of Different Types Of Wounds And Their Treatments. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Previous Work Experience Or Specialized Training In Wound Care.
Knowledge Of Hyperbaric Medicine: The Lpn Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Hyperbaric Medicine, Including The Use Of Hyperbaric Chambers And The Treatment Of Various Conditions Such As Carbon Monoxide Poisoning And Diabetic Foot Ulcers.
Strong Communication Skills: As An Lpn In An Outpatient Wound And Hyperbarics Setting, Effective Communication With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Team Members Is Essential. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: This Job May Require The Lpn To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment, Where They Will Be Responsible For Providing Wound Care To Multiple Patients And Assisting With Hyperbaric Treatments. The Candidate Should Be Able To Multitask And Work Efficiently Under Pressure.
