
Lab Technician
Emory Healthcare is looking for a Lab Technician to join our team! As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of laboratory protocols and safety procedures. To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and analytical skills. If you are passionate about working in a lab setting, we would love to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Commitment to providing quality patient care
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols.
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Review patient test results and provide feedback to healthcare providers.
- Monitor laboratory inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and other related data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any laboratory equipment issues.
- Follow all HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Provide input and feedback on laboratory procedures and operations.
