  1. Perform histological procedures and techniques accurately and efficiently to prepare tissue samples for analysis.
  2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
  3. Follow established protocols and procedures for the handling and processing of tissue samples.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and results.
  5. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
  6. Collaborate with other team members, such as pathologists and medical technologists, to ensure accurate and timely results.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during sample preparation.
  8. Adhere to all quality control and quality assurance standards set by regulatory agencies.
  9. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest techniques and procedures.
  10. Comply with all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
  12. Participate in the development and implementation of new procedures and techniques.
  13. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, as needed.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Histotechnology, Biology, Or A Related Field

  • Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Histotechnologist, With A Focus On Heart And Vascular Tissue

  • Knowledge Of Specialized Techniques Such As Immunohistochemistry And Frozen Sectioning For Heart And Vascular Specimens

  • Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Regulations In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Including Proper Handling And Disposal Of Hazardous Materials.
