Job Description

Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our team. As a Histotechnologist, you will play an essential role in the laboratory operations by preparing specimens and microscopic slides for further analysis. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of these specimens, which will include embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting tissue sections. In this position, you must demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency, an attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Histology, or a related field, and hold a valid certification as a Histotechnologist. Responsibilities: • Prepare specimens and microscopic slides for further analysis. • Embed, cut, stain, and mount tissue sections. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of specimen processing. • Demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. • Maintain valid certification as a Histotechnologist. • Participate in laboratory operations to promote efficiency and quality. • Assist in the training of new staff members. • Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures. • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
