  1. Perform hemodialysis treatments on patients with kidney disease according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during dialysis treatments, making adjustments as needed.
  3. Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  4. Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  5. Educate patients and their families on the dialysis process, including proper care and maintenance of access sites.
  6. Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during dialysis treatments.
  9. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on advancements in dialysis technology and techniques.
  11. Adhere to all regulatory standards and guidelines related to hemodialysis.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Assist with the training and supervision of new hemodialysis technicians.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  15. Adhere to ethical and confidentiality standards in all aspects of job responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Team-Oriented Environment.

  • Certified Hemodialysis Technician (Cht) Credential From A Recognized Certification Organization Such As The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent) Or The National Nephrology Certification Organization (Nnco).

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience As A Hemodialysis Technician Or Related Field In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Hemodialysis Procedures, Equipment, And Patient Care Protocols.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control And Safety Protocols, As Well As The Ability To Adhere To All Regulatory And Accreditation Requirements For Hemodialysis Treatment.
