  1. Perform hemodialysis treatments according to established protocols and procedures.

  3. Set up and operate hemodialysis machines and equipment.
  4. Ensure proper disinfection and sterilization of equipment and work areas.
  5. Assist in the assessment and documentation of patients' conditions.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  7. Educate patients and their families on kidney disease, dialysis procedures, and self-care techniques.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' treatment progress.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  10. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  11. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with best practices in hemodialysis.
  12. Maintain and order supplies and equipment needed for hemodialysis procedures.
  13. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during treatments.
  14. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Hemodialysis Technician: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Certification As A Hemodialysis Technician From A Recognized Institution Or Organization.

  • Experience: Emory Healthcare Requires At Least Two Years Of Experience Working As A Hemodialysis Technician In A Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Hemodialysis Machines And Other Necessary Equipment Used In The Treatment Process.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role As The Hemodialysis Technician Will Be Required To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: The Candidate Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail As They Will Be Responsible For Monitoring The Patient's Condition During The Dialysis Procedure And Reporting Any Changes Or Issues To The Physician.
