  1. Greet and welcome patients to the clinic with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  2. Assist endocrinologists in providing high-quality care to patients with endocrine disorders.
  3. Take patient vitals, record medical histories, and assist with physical exams.
  4. Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients.
  5. Communicate with patients about their care plans and provide patient education as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  7. Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits.
  8. Order and stock necessary medical supplies and equipment.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  11. Stay current on advancements and best practices in endocrinology through ongoing education and training.
  12. Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients and their families.
  13. Handle and resolve any patient concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  14. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Emory Healthcare in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Medical Assistant Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Medical Assistant Training Program From An Accredited Institution, Which Includes Courses In Anatomy, Medical Terminology, And Clinical Procedures.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: Applicants Should Have A Valid Certification As A Medical Assistant From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Knowledge Of Endocrinology: A Solid Understanding Of Endocrine Disorders, Their Diagnosis, And Treatment Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have Relevant Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Endocrinology.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr): Emory Healthcare Uses Electronic Medical Records For Patient Documentation And Management. Candidates Should Be Well-Versed In Using Emrs And Have Excellent Computer Skills.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Endocrinology Medical Assistants At Emory Healthcare Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication, Interpersonal, And Customer Service Skills Are Essential For This Role.
