- Provide life-saving ECMO support to patients with severe respiratory or cardiac failure.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ECMO equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement ECMO treatment plans.
- Assess patients' response to ECMO therapy and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on the purpose and use of ECMO therapy.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of ECMO equipment and supplies.
- Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest ECMO technology and techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
