- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop accurate and effective treatment plans for patients.
- Utilize advanced techniques to calculate and deliver precise radiation doses to patients.
- Perform quality assurance checks on treatment plans and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as directed by the medical team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in radiation therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout the treatment process.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in radiation therapy procedures.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures.
- Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all job responsibilities.
- Meet productivity goals and deadlines set by the department.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the radiation oncology department.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned by the department manager or medical team.
Certified Medical Dosimetrist (Cmd) Credential From The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (Mdcb).
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Dosimetry Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Radiation Oncology Department.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Radiation Therapy Treatment Planning Systems, Including Eclipse And/Or Pinnacle.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Patient Education And Support.
