
Director, Healthcare Nondiscrimination and Compliance

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to healthcare nondiscrimination and promote equitable access to quality healthcare for all patients.
- Lead efforts to create a culture of diversity and inclusivity within Emory Healthcare, working with various departments and teams to promote understanding and acceptance of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Monitor and stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare regulations and laws related to nondiscrimination, and make recommendations for necessary updates or changes to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other leaders and departments within Emory Healthcare to ensure that nondiscrimination and equity are integrated into all aspects of patient care and organizational practices.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of potential noncompliance and develop corrective action plans to address any issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare staff on nondiscrimination and cultural competency, promoting understanding and sensitivity towards diverse patient populations.
- Serve as a resource for patients and their families who have questions or concerns about discrimination or healthcare access, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and advocacy groups to stay informed on current healthcare equity issues and initiatives.
- Represent Emory Healthcare at conferences, workshops, and other events related to healthcare equity and nondiscrimination.
- Uphold ethical standards and promote social justice within the organization, serving as a role model for others and advocating for marginalized and underserved populations.
Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations: The Director Of Healthcare Nondiscrimination And Compliance At Emory Healthcare Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Laws Related To Healthcare Nondiscrimination And Compliance, Such As The Affordable Care Act, Americans With Disabilities Act, And The Health Insurance Portability And Accountability Act.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Programs: This Role Requires Experience In Creating And Implementing Compliance Programs To Ensure That Emory Healthcare Is In Full Compliance With All Applicable Laws And Regulations. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing Compliance Programs In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team And Working Closely With Various Departments Within Emory Healthcare. Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Manage And Collaborate With Others To Ensure Compliance Throughout The Organization.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Director Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Regulations And Policies And Identify Potential Compliance Risks. They Should Also Have The Ability To Develop And Implement Solutions To Address Any Compliance Issues That May Arise.
Experience In Healthcare Compliance Audits: The Director Should Have Experience In Conducting Compliance Audits To Assess The Effectiveness Of Current Policies And Procedures. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing Corrective Action Plans To Address Any Deficiencies Found During The Audit Process.
