Job Description

We are currently seeking a Coordinator, Lab Support to join our team and contribute to our mission. In this role, you will play an integral part in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring our patients receive accurate and timely test results.   1. Coordinate and support laboratory operations to ensure efficient and effective functioning.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of patient samples and test results.
  3. Work closely with laboratory staff to assist in daily operations and address any issues that may arise.
  4. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies and equipment for the laboratory.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of patient samples and test results.
  6. Participate in quality control and quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of patient care.
  7. Train and mentor new laboratory staff on procedures and protocols.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and make suggestions for improvements to laboratory processes.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory activities.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or inquiries regarding laboratory procedures.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  12. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting Emory Healthcare's mission and values.
  13. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and report generation.
  14. Represent Emory Healthcare in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Healthcare Administration.

  • 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Laboratory Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Support Role.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With A Diverse Team.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, As Well As Regulatory And Safety Guidelines, Such As Clia And Osha.
